God Was In The Midst

Why are we willing to leave our family and everything we know?......Because He is WORTHY! Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.

That is how the mission conference in Axton, VA started out. What a meeting we had this week. I don't think my words will do justice to what we saw the Lord do this week. The power and presence of God was evident in each service. The youth choir opened each service with several songs. I have never seen a youth group more on fire for the Lord. Following the singing, a missionary presented their work and preached a short sermon. Following the missionary a quartet from the New Beginnings Girls Home sang and testified. Then Dr. Thurmond Wade preached a second sermon. This happened each night of the service. I have been in good services before, but I have never experienced the moving of the Spirit like we did here. There were three souls saved and many lives surrendered.

Rodney was the last missionary to present. He had the Sunday School Hour. Bless his heart, he didn't sleep at all Saturday night. He didn't want to quench the Spirit that we had felt all week. He preached 1. There is an enemy. Every person who had made a decision this week will be attacked by Satan. Satan will do everything he can to destroy what was accomplished through this meeting. 2. There is a field. The fields are white already for harvest. There are fields all around the world. 3. There is a man. Eleazar stood determined that the Philistines could not have his field. Who will stand determined to not let Satan have their field, family, friends, etc.

Dr. Wade's message following Sunday School lined up with everything Rodney preached. The Lord knit every message together like I have never seen before. I can't explain how encouraging these meetings were. It was such a blessing to be a part of this missions conference. It will not be easily forgotten.
