Sunday, March 1--Snowed In!!

We had an exciting Sunday to say the least. After the morning service in King, NC, we went to have lunch with the pastor and his wife. While enjoying our shrimp at the Mayflower Seafood House, it began to sleet. On our way to the hotel after lunch, it began to snow. We called our Sunday night meeting, and the pastor cancelled the service. (We were able to reschedule.) We decided to start for home. We were able to drive as far as Duncan, SC (between Spartanburg & Greenville). It began snowing so hard that we decided it best to stop for the night. We stayed in a hotel right off of I-85 and had McDonald's (the only thing still open) for supper. Through the night, it snowed at least 5 inches. We were able to leave around 9:30 the next morning. Rodney had to scrape all of the car windows (see his face in picture.) Once we got onto I-85 the drive was pretty smooth.

After we got home, Rodney and the girls decided to take the 4-wheelers for a spin in the snow. The rode it in the field behind Rodney's grandfather's house. They were a total mess...mud from head to toe!
