Farmer Christian Academy

On our last trip to North Carolina, we had the privilege of meeting Evangelist Jimmie Clark. Brother Clark is starting a girls home in Farmer, North Carolina. We were able to spend a day at Farmer Christian Academy. Brother Clark has aquired the property and buildings of an old public elementary school. He is remodeling all of the buildings. Rodney helped work on the roof of one of the buildings while we were there.
The girls and I were able to sit and have school with the house mother, Crystal, and some of the girls in the academy. Right now several come over to the campus for homeschooling, but only one girl and Crystal actually lives in the home. I helped prepare lunch for all of the girls and the men working on the roof. It was great opportunity to see how a home for troubled youth is run.
