Stuarts Draft, VA

Our meeting in Stuarts Draft, VA went really well. This church was not familiar with Macedonia World Baptist Missions so we were able to introduce them to our Board. The church was pretty large, but many of the members were out working with the children. Rodney was able to speak to about 35 people. They showed real interest in our ministry and promised to pray for us.

The pastor was a real blessing. He is probably in his 50s, and he has three grown children. In the past 5 years he and his wife have adopted two precious little girls from China. They adopted their 7 year old daughter when she was about 2, and their 4 year old daughter was adopted at 18 months. Their grown daughter and son-n-law went to China with them on the second adoption. They fell in love with the Chinese people and are now preparing to go to China as missionaires. It is amazing to hear stories of how the Lord uses circumstances to call people to the mission field.

The pastor also has a one year old grandson, Tyson, who is recovering from a very aggressive cancerous brain tumor. The tumor has been removed, and Tyson has finished his last round of chemo. Please pray for him as he recovers.
