Back to School

We started back to school yesterday. Katie is now in 6th grade. This year we have decided to use the Abeka video program for her. She is really excited. Instead of me trying to teach and lecture her, she will have a real teacher teaching the lessons and giving the lectures. I will still administer the tests and quizzes and grade all of her work. This will free up some of my time to focus on Josie while she is learning all of the basics.

Josie is now in second grade, and this year will introduce quite a few new things. She will learn cursive writing and multiplication through the "5"s. She is very excited about learning cursive. Last year she complained that reading and looking at her worksheets gave her a headache. I took her to the eye doctor a few weeks ago, and she is far sighted. She will be getting glasses for reading. Pray that the glasses relieve the headaches.
