Sunday Meetings

Both of our Sunday meetings were really good. The morning church is struggling right now because of the economy, but the pastor wants Rodney to come back if we are still in the states when everything picks back up again.

Our Sunday night meeting took us to a little church out in the country in NC. The church has a really good outreach program with the local prison. Several of the church members are allowed to check a prisoner out and bring him to church. This particular night, there were three prisoners attending the service. One was an old black man who played the piano by ear. He played and sang with one of the other prisoners. It was a blessing to see them praising the Lord even in their situation. They sang "O Happy Day." I've never heard it sung any more "happy!" I enjoyed their singing so much. This church promised to pick us up for monthly support in the coming months. God is so good to us.
