"Missions Revival"

The last meeting of the three week trip was to be a "Missions Revival". There were thirteen missionary families in attendance. The meeting started on Wednesday night and ended on Friday night. There were services from 9:30 AM until lunch, lunch at the church, supper at the church, and then evening services from 6:30 PM until whenever we got through.

Between Wednesday night and Friday night, we heard 13 different messages. Not only 13 messages, but I attended a ladies meeting and Rodney attended an Ordination questioning. No need to say it, but we were all pooped out.

We were excited about leaving on Saturday, August 30th to come home for a couple of weeks. We received a heartbreaking phone call from a close Pastor friend on Friday afternoon. He asked Rodney to fill in for him on Sunday, August 31 due to some family problems he was dealing with. Of course, we wanted to do anything we could to help him, so we drove eight hours on Saturday to be with our friend and his family on Sunday. Rodney preached both the morning and evening service.

We left early on Labor Day morning and drove home. We arrived home at about 3:00 PM. We all just plopped down on the couch. Until you have travelled for long stretches of time, I don't think you can ever really appreciate your home!
