Couple of Days With Uncle Mick

During this last three week trip, we were able to spend a couple of days with Rodney's Uncle Mick. He has a beautiful mountain house in West Jefferson, NC. West Jefferson is about 2o miles from Boone, NC. It was really nice to just sit on the back deck and watch the birds and butterflies. God created a beautiful world for us to enjoy. Sometimes we get so busy that we forget to enjoy it. The weather was so nice we were able to sleep with the windows open. The view outside our bedroom window couldn't be beat. Waking up to fresh mountain air and gorgeous scenery was just what we needed. Our bodies and souls were refreshed.

Rodney did get to do a little bit of trout fishing; though, the fish were not really biting. Katie & Josie played around in the stream, and I just laid back on a big rock and read a book. It was a glorious two days.
